Effective date: September 25, 2026.
These terms govern TrustCart accounts, checkout links, seller storefronts, Discover, Buyer Center, Storefront Studio, subscriptions, payment workflows, disputes, and payouts. By creating an account or completing a TrustCart checkout, you agree to these terms.
TrustCart provides commerce software that connects seller-managed products to checkout links, storefronts, and Discover. It records order details, requests payment through Paystack, tracks fulfilment, supports delivery confirmation and disputes, and manages payout eligibility. TrustCart is not the seller of a merchant's products and does not manufacture, own, inspect, warehouse, or deliver those products.
TrustCart is not a bank. References to a payment being protected, held, released, or reversed describe TrustCart's order and payout workflow. Payment processing, fund custody, settlement, reversals, and transfers are performed through Paystack and applicable regulated financial institutions.
A storefront belongs to its seller. Discover is a discovery surface, not a combined marketplace cart. Selecting a Discover product opens that seller's TrustCart store or checkout. Products from different sellers remain separate orders, payments, delivery arrangements, and disputes. Discover eligibility, ranking, moderation, and featuring may change and do not guarantee impressions or sales.
An order is not treated as paid merely because a screenshot, message, or buyer claim is supplied. TrustCart relies on payment-provider confirmation. Protected Checkout is the default. Eligible sellers may request Instant Payout, but access depends on verification, history, risk controls, provider support, and TrustCart approval—not a paid subscription.
Current plan prices, product limits, and transaction rates are displayed on the Pricing and Plan & Billing pages before purchase. Paystack processing charges are separate and paid by the seller. A downgrade does not delete seller data; features and publication above the lower plan's limits may be restricted until access is restored. Paid periods, renewal, failed-payment handling, grace periods, and cancellation timing are shown in the seller's billing record.
TrustCart may send service communications about verification, account security, orders, payments, fulfilment, disputes, support, and payouts by email, WhatsApp, or in-product notification. Transactional messages are not marketing. Where consent is required for optional promotional messages, users may withdraw that consent without disabling essential account or transaction notices. Carrier, internet, and messaging provider charges may apply.
The seller is the supplier of seller-listed products and is responsible for determining registration obligations, product tax classification, invoice requirements, filing, and remittance. TrustCart's tax controls do not register a seller with the Ghana Revenue Authority and do not turn an ordinary TrustCart receipt into a Commissioner-General-certified E-VAT invoice.
A seller who enables Ghana tax collection confirms that the seller is authorised to charge it. For products marked standard-rated, TrustCart currently calculates 15% VAT, 2.5% NHIL, and 2.5% GETFund Levy using the seller's inclusive or exclusive price setting. Zero-rated, exempt, and out-of-scope classifications produce no checkout tax. Tax values are stored with the order so later configuration changes do not rewrite the transaction.
TrustCart may hide listings, restrict checkout, pause payout eligibility, request evidence, suspend accounts, or terminate access where required for safety, provider rules, legal compliance, suspected fraud, chargebacks, prohibited activity, or breach of these terms. Provider reversals and chargebacks may be recovered from present or future seller balances where legally permitted.
TrustCart and its software, branding, and platform materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Sellers retain ownership of content they upload but grant TrustCart a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, reproduce, resize, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate and promote their storefront and listings. Sellers confirm they have the rights required for uploaded names, images, descriptions, and other materials.
TrustCart depends on internet, hosting, messaging, identity, payment, and banking providers. Availability and settlement timing cannot be guaranteed. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent permitted by Ghanaian law, TrustCart is not responsible for a seller's product quality, legality, tax treatment, fulfilment promise, or off-platform conduct.
Material changes will be reflected by a revised effective date and, where appropriate, an in-product notice. Ghanaian law governs these terms. Contact hello@trustcart.app for legal enquiries and support@trustcart.app for account support.
